LITTER HOTLINE
Keep Cass County Beautiful participates in the Litter Hotline program with signage in numerous locations as motorists enter Cass County, Nebraska. If you see someone litter from their vehicle, report the incident by calling the Litter Hotline or report the information online at Keep Nebraska Beautiful.
Please include the following information:
- Date & Time
- License Plate Number
- Location
- Type/Color of Vehicle
- Type of Litter
All types of trash and all types of vehicles are subject to reporting, as long as you are able to provide the license plate number. You can report anything from cigarette butts to large commercial waste. Reporters will remain anonymous.
Current County partners: Douglas, Lancaster, Gage, Dodge, Cass, and Colfax.
Please help us reduce roadside litter and improve the enjoyment of residents and visitors who travel our highways by reporting incidents to our Litter Hotline. You can help to preserve our natural environment and save taxpayer money that is spent cleaning the discarded trash of careless motorists.

First conviction is a class 3 misdemeanor punishable by up to three months imprisonment, $500 fine, or both. Second conviction is a class 2 misdemeanor punishable by up to six months imprisonment, $1,000 fine, or both. Subsequent conviction is a class 1 misdemeanor punishable by up to one year imprisonment, $1,000 fine, or both (see §28-106). |
